1. Who we are

The data controller is FIDENS SRL, VAT number RO1553509, registered office at 43 I.B. Deleanu Street, Cluj-Napoca, Romania ("Fidens", "we"). You can reach us at any time at hello@fidens.ro. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit fidens.ro or send us a message, why we use it and what your rights are.

2. What we collect and why

• Messages sent through the contact form: your name, email, phone number (if you enter it), your message and the IP address it was sent from. We use them to reply and to prepare a proposal at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The IP address also helps us limit automated messages (spam).
• Messages sent by email, phone or WhatsApp: the data you choose to share, used for the same purpose.
• Visit statistics (Google Analytics): pages visited, device, browser and approximate city, only if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Advertising features and Google Signals are turned off.
• Server logs: IP address, requested page and time, kept for security and troubleshooting (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies and local storage

Without your consent we only use what the website needs to work. Google Analytics starts only after "Accept".

• cookie_consent (browser local storage): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies; kept until you delete it.
• fidens_lang (cookie, 1 year): remembers your language, Romanian or English.
• fidens_intro (session storage): the home page animation plays once; deleted when you close the browser.
• _ga, _ga_J2RJ9D643B (Google Analytics, up to 2 years): only after "Accept".

Change your cookie choice: clears your choice and the Google Analytics cookies, and the banner shows again.

4. Who receives the data

We do not sell data or use it for advertising. It is processed on our behalf only by the providers the website cannot run without:

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): the servers running the website, in the European Union.
• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): page delivery and attack protection; transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
• Romarg SRL (Romania): the email server that receives our messages.
• Google Ireland Limited (Ireland): Google Analytics, only with your consent; data may reach Google LLC (USA) under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

5. How long we keep data

We keep messages for as long as the conversation lasts and, if you become a client, for the duration of our work together and as long as the law requires (for example, for accounting records). Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting of our Google Analytics account.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing. You can withdraw your consent for Google Analytics at any time with the link above. For any request, write to hello@fidens.ro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).
